A large custom-designed painting to fill a living room wall above a dining area and inside a sliding door. The Collector loved the ‘Sentinels’ series and wanted an adaptation to suit their space. (Pictured image is not actual.)

For a painting they would see every day, I wanted to be sure they never tired of it: there would be something new to enjoy or connect with every time they looked, as light, mood and needs changed.

The challenge was to keep it fresh and gestural, while adding points of depth, detail and interest such as the frog pond in the background. There are up to seven planes in this piece, from foremost foreground to deepest background.
