Shipping and returns

I am proud to apply my sustainability policy to shipping and do what I can to reduce, re-use, and use biodegradable or compostable shipping and art materials.

When my art is all about celebrating the natural world, sustainability just makes sense.

Where possible, I source compostable bubblewrap (yes, you can break it up and put in your home compost bin!), and biodegradable tape, ribbon and packing.

Please excuse me if I use a re-purposed box, too - we promise they are clean and appropriate.

I’d love for you to recycle or re-use the packaging as much as you can. Thank you.

How are paintings sent to buyers?

Items under 105cm long are sent through Australia Post, boxed or rolled in a mailing tube if unstretched. Larger pieces are sent via courier service. All items can be tracked along the way.

Artworks purchased through outlets other than this website will be subject to the shipping arrangements of those outlets. Bluethumb online gallery builds shipping costs into the published price for all-inclusive transacting with no additional costs. Shipping costs for individual pieces are otherwise shown at checkout.

How quickly do you dispatch?

I dispatch 1-3 business days from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated in the listing. Dispatch is from Canberra, Australia. Within Australia, shipping is generally 3-7 days depending on the carrier. International shipping depends on carriers.

For on-demand prints please allow 7-12 days for the print process before dispatch. Where this applies, it is noted in the listing.

Do you ship outside Australia?

Yes! A small extra fee may apply.

Are artworks framed?

Some pieces are sold framed, others are not. It depends on the vision for the work, or support/protection needs for the materials. In many cases I like to work using rolls of unstretched linen because it’s a wonderful high quality surface, and allows maximum size flexibility. These pieces are generally shipped unframed, rolled in a tube. Framing can be arranged, however.

Can you arrange framing for me?

If you purchase through Bluethumb there are handy options to select a frame at checkout, which will be applied to the artwork before it arrives at your door.

In other circumstances I’m happy to assist if possible. Particularly if you are in the Canberra region, I may be able to deliver the artwork direct to the framer and assist with your choice. Framing or stretching costs would be additional and payable direct from you to the framer.

Do you accept returns?

A lot of love goes into my work and I want you to love it, too. If you get your art home and something’s not right or there has been damage done in transit, you have seven days from the arrival date to request a return for full refund (unless a non-refundable deposit has been arranged on a commission) + reimbursement of the cost of return shipping (to the value of $100).

If purchasing outside of this website, please follow the procedures of that outlet. Otherwise, all you need to do is repackage it in the original packaging, and send us an email within (7) seven days of receiving it.

The same returns policy applies on Bluethumb and my Etsy shop.
