Oil on canvas. 75cm x 150cm. Ready to hang unframed.
Hot summer days walking the bush has proved ideal for clearing the mind. It is not long before the heat has your blood pounding in your ears, together with a chorus of cicadas to drown any inner chatter. Our hot dry woodlands cleanse and heal by searing away the unnecessary, until there is nothing but the breath, the here, and the now.
These new works celebrate the woodlands that we of Australia’s southeast call home: their brittle textures, muted tones, and the promise of cool shade.
Shipping Australia-wide. This piece comes to you as a roll of painted canvas fabric (high quality linen, actually) in a mailing tube. This saves metres of plastic bubblewrap (Mother Nature thanks you!), and makes delivery far easier to handle for you. Any framer can easily prepare it for hanging, by attaching to a backing frame then adding the decorative outer frame of your choice. The price is lower on my 'unstretched' paintings to accommodate the extra step.
