This piece was created in one day, deliberately full of swift energy like the river with loose, light, confident brush strokes and some water wash (water mixable oil paints). Some of the water was done direct with my fingers on the canvas to mimic the movement of the waters.
I loved the lush analogous palette of warm and cool greens complemented with mauve and russett tones for a simple, effective palette to tell the story.
