A deep sense of stillness is created with minimal touch from the artist's hand, allowing the textures and tones from a dark mocha underpainting to stand in their own beauty, coaxed into form with flecks of brushwork. I wanted this piece to pull you into the fold of the mountain.
The main colour is a warm mocha made with elements of grey, brown and mauve, with olive green. Framed in raw oak floating frame.
