This piece is all about the liveliness of Spring, and the unique colour harmonies of the Australian bush with its contrasts of gentle, muted tones against flashes of vibrance such as our yellow wattle. It was painted outdoors, wet into wet, to imbue it with the energy of the Spring air. Pops of crimson and peachy pink added gorgeous depth and speak of the red tips of new growth and the pink tufts on the flowering gum trees.
This piece is on unstretched linen, which provides for a more eco friendly shipping that doesn't require plastic bubblewrap. Arriving rolled in a mailing tube is also very easy handling. Any framer can prepare it for hanging, and my costs on unstretched pieces are lower to accommodate this extra step.
