Apricots and Rosemary
Quality reproductions with colour depth almost indiscernable from the original oil painting. Fade-resistant, archive quality pigment ink on beautiful, thick Cotton Fibre Rag paper (310gsm) in a natural-looking satin finish. Available in A3 and A2 sizes.
This piece was extended play around the story of home grown stone fruit and preserving, and collecting from the garden. I wanted to speak of bright days and blue skies of the late Spring apricot season in southern Australia. The dusky crimson outlines brought a playful effect and a rich complement to the turquoise blues, while the rosemary sprigs spoke of country kitchens, and rustic and Mediterranean gardens while balancing out the composition.
